ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS:
Chas. Seligman Distributing Company is a wholesaler and distributor for
Anheuser-Busch, Inc. and Crown Imports. We purchase its’
brewery products and distribute them to retail accounts. We are privileged
to handle the Anheuser-Busch line of beer products which are the highest
quality, best-selling beer products in the world. In addition to the Anheuser-Busch
brands, we distribute the Grupo-Modelo brands which include Corona Extra,
the best selling imported product in the United States. Our products are
stored in a controlled environment warehouse (C.E.W.) which provides optimum
storage temperatures. The C.E.W. system is fully automated, and continuous
checks are made to ensure that the temperature controls are functioning
properly. This storage system provides our customers with unexceeded product
quality. Temperatures maintained in the C.E.W. are in strict conformity
with Anheuser-Busch standards.

The Chas. Seligman Distributing
Company was founded by the late Charles L. Seligman in 1933. The original
location was 11th and Madison in Covington, KY.
- The founder started in
business by becoming one of the first Burger Beer bottlers.
- Seligman acquired rights
to distribute Anheuser-Busch products in 1939 for the Northern Kentucky
and Louisville territories. The rights to the Louisville territory were
sold in 1940.
- In December 1986, Chas.
Seligman Distributing acquired another Anheuser-Busch distributor, A&W
Distributing in Carrollton, KY. In 1999, the Carrollton facility closed
and its territory serviced from the Crescent Springs
facility.
- In April 1989, the Company
relocated to Crescent Springs, KY. The facility
was built on a ten-acre parcel of land which was purchased from Tewes
Farm.
- In October 1994, Chas. Seligman Distributing acquired another Anheuser-Busch
distributor, Caproni Distributing in Maysville, KY. In 2000, the Maysville
facility closed and its territory serviced from the Crescent Springs
facility.
- In November 1999, Chas. Seligman acquired another Anheuser-Busch distributor,
Big “O” Beverage in Frankfort, KY. After acquiring Big “O”
Beverage, their name was changed to Chas. Seligman Dist. Frankfort. In June 2005, the Frankfort
Facility Servicing Franklin, Henry and Shelby counties closed, all product
then being served from the Crescent Springs Warehouse.
- In March 2003, Chas. Seligman
began its partnership with the Gambrinus Company (now Crown Imports), carrying Corona
Extra, Corona Light, Pacifico, Modelo Especial and Negra Modelo.
- In September 2005, the Company
moved to its new facility in Walton, KY. The facility was built to accommodate the
entire selling territory.
- Through Anheuser-Busch acquisitions and
partnerships, Chas. Seligman has added new brands to its portfolio:
- In early 2006, Rolling Rock and Grolsch.
- In mid 2006, Goose Island craft beers.
- In late 2006, Hansen's Lost, Rhumba and Unbound energy drinks.
- In early 2007, Bass Ale, Becks, Stella Artois and Lowenbrau.
- Our service area (including
Frankfort) includes the counties of Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Pendleton,
Henry, Carroll, Gallatin, Shelby, Bracken, Mason and Franklin. Within
our service area, we deliver beer to any qualified establishment holding
a valid Commonwealth of Kentucky Beer License.
